Do I pay VAT on the transaction fee?
Yes. To calculate the VAT, multiply the energy costs plus transaction fee by the VAT rate.
Our standard transaction fee of £0.35 is inclusive of VAT. The calculation = (0.29 * 0.21) + 0.29 = £0.35
