Fast charging at Shell forecourts

At Shell Recharge charge points, you can benefit from fast and efficient charging, with a typical rapid 50kW charge taking just 60 minutes to complete*. This is the perfect amount of time to grab a coffee, have a bite to eat, or simply relax while your car charges.

50kW+ chargers will charge most vehicles from 20% to 80% within 60 minutes in ideal conditions. Charging speeds may vary depending on: battery state, ambient temperature, other load use (e.g. AC) & energy losses. Not all vehicles are capable of reaching 150kW.

When you’re in a hurry with no time to wait...You will also find ultra-rapid 150kW+ chargers at Shell forecourts.
These are the fastest way to charge your electric vehicle and can deliver power up to three times faster than 50kW.

Ultra rapid charging at Shell forecourts

Ultra rapid charging, there is no need to plan your charging sessions around your schedule. Ultra rapid chargers (150kW+) will charge most vehicles from 20% to 80% within 30 minutes in ideal conditions.*

150kW+ chargers will charge most vehicles from 20% to 80% within 30 minutes in ideal conditions. Charging speeds may vary depending on: battery state, ambient temperature, other load use (e.g. AC) & energy losses. Not all vehicles are capable of reaching 150kW.

Price of charging at Shell UK

The price of charging varies between charge points and speeds but our prices are always fair and transparent. In the UK, not only is the price competitive with other charging providers, but we apply a flat rate tariff. Our charge card is free to order and use, plus you do not need a subscription to charge.

Paying for charge at Shell

The easiest way to pay is with a Shell Recharge card and app.
When using the Shell Recharge card at Shell stations, you get better charging rates than with contactless payments.
Simply download the app to order a charge card and link your payment method.
You can also pay ad hoc with a credit or debit card.

Visit our charge point locator or use the Shell Recharge app to find a convenient charge point. If you are looking for something specific, like a Shell forecourt, simply filter for that in the criteria. Otherwise with the Shell Recharge app you are able to charge at any of the charge points, Shell or otherwise, in the network.

Where can I find the other services Shell offers?

You can find this in the Shell forecourt amenities and services in the Shell Recharge app. Just click on the Shell icon in the charging station map and it will show you all the options at that location. Alongside charging you will also find food, car washing, WC and ATM services. Plus the app will also tell you the ways you can pay.
