My charge point is offline, what does this mean?
When charge points are offline it means that we cannot remotely connect to them and therefore cannot retrieve recent data and/or perform resets. Charge points do not need an internet connection to be able to charge the EV. As long as the charge point has power, it should work. Offline charge points store the charging data which will be picked up as soon as they are back online. The charge points save the charging data for at least six months.
Be aware that it is normal for charge points to go offline from time to time. A few of the causes are: there was a charge point update, the charge point is in an underground parking lot, network issues in the area, or even a van or other obstacle between the router and the charge points could cause a temporary disconnection.
