Why are Shell Recharge using blocking fees?
Shell Recharge does not apply blocking fees. However, as of 10th July, our roaming partner, Source London, has introduced a blocking fee.
Source London believes drivers will be more motivated to vacate the space when they have finished charging if a blocking fee is applied. This will only impact drivers who remain in a charging space for long periods of time. Currently, Source London is our only roaming partner to apply a blocking fee. However this could change in the future.
