Does manufacturing an electric vehicle generate more greenhouse gas emissions than it saves?
No, that is not true. Let's take a look at this MIT report (refer to Figure 4.6, page 67) which illustrates that Battery Emission Vehicles (BEVs) produce lesser emissions per mile compared to a similar sized Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicle, even after including the greenhouse gas emissions associated with EV production.
