What is the Route Planning feature?
The Route Planning feature for EVs is a specialised feature within the Shell Recharge app that helps EV owners plan their journeys. By considering factors such as charging station locations, charging time, and range limitations the feature will work out the most optimal places to stop and provide recommendations on how much to charge.
One of the key benefits of this feature is its ability to tailor the planning to your specific EV model. Using the details of your EV, such as its battery capacity, charging speed, and current level of battery, the app can provide more accurate predictions and recommendations based on your EV's capabilities. This ensures that the suggested charging stops and durations align with your vehicle's specific requirements.
To personalise your journey even further you can also filter for Shell Recharge charge points or a specific charging speed. Plus, add details like number of passengers and minimum desired charge levels. By applying extra layers of personalisation, the app can recommend charging stops tailored to you.
