Costs home charging
How much does it cost to charge an EV at home?
For home charging, your regular home energy tariff will apply to the energy you consume.
With a home charge point, you can take advantage of cheaper electricity rates when demand on the grid is low during “off-peak” hours. You can even set up a schedule for charging to start and stop during these times. Also, by plugging in and charging during “dormant” hours, means you do not need to pay for ultra-rapid charging speeds.
It is more cost-effective to charge at home using a home charge point than it is to plug into a domestic wall socket, because they are quicker and specifically designed to take the load of charging a car.
