How long does an EV with a 60-kWh battery take to charge?
An EV with a 60-kWh battery will take roughly 8 hours to charge from 0-100% with a 7.4kW charging speed.
To work out the time it takes to charge the EV from 0-100% with a 7.4 kW charging speed, we use the formula:
Charging time (hours) = battery capacity (kWh) / Charging speed (kW)
Therefore, the calculation for an EV with a 60 kWh battery and a charging speed of 7.4 kW would be:
charging time (hours) = 60/ 7.4 = 8.11
Please note this is a rough estimate, actual charging speeds can vary due to factors such as infrastructure, battery condition, efficiency of the EV charger and environmental conditions such as weather.
