If you purchase an Atto 3 or any of the other BYD models you’ll be able save £0.15 for every kWh you charge using the Shell Recharge rapid and ultra-rapid charging network.

Here’s how the promotion works
- Book a test drive at a BYD car dealer near you
- Order the BYD car of your choice (at one of their selected dealerships)
- Receive your Shell Recharge x BYD charge card and activate it through the Shell Recharge app
- Connect a payment method and add your home address to finalise the setup. Your discount will be applied automatically at the participating charge points
- Start charging and saving immediately with Shell Recharge. You will receive your invoice at the end of each month.

Accessing the Shell Recharge network To make use of the BYD promotion discount, plug in to any DC charge point that is operated and/or owned by Shell Recharge. You will find these conveniently placed, all over the UK and Western Europe. Either download the Shell Recharge app, or find a convenient charge stop through our charge point locator. Simply look on the interactive map and use the filtering criteria to find a Shell Recharge operated charge point that suits your journey and planning.

Shell Recharge x BYD Promotion FAQs

You will be invoiced at the end of each month. An invoice will be sent to the email address that is linked to your account showing the cost of all your charging sessions and transaction fees. Shell Recharge will take this amount from your account via direct debit.
To benefit from the discounted rates on the Shell Recharge DC charging stations, you will need to start the session with your Shell Recharge x BYD charge card or by using the Shell Recharge app.
From the 1st of June, every Shell Recharge x BYD card owner will automatically be given the discounted Shell Recharge rate. Even if you activated your charge card before the 1st of June.
Some charge points will have different ways of starting a charging session, please revert to reading the instructions on the charge point. A description will be available on the charge point on how to use the charge cards and start a charging session.
Please call the phone number on the charge point, this should get you in contact with the charge point operator.
Please go to the app to deactivate the card immediately. Please order a new card via your dealer to keep using your discounted rate on the Shell Recharge DC network. The activation process of your new card will be the same as before.
No, the discount only applies to the fast charging stations >50 kW at Shell Recharge locations. You can find these by using the filter in the app.

That is correct, the discount will only be visible on your invoice.
The promotion is applicable in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
