Subscriptions
You need a subscription to have full access to the smart features of your charge point.
Plus subscription (£4.80 p/m) includes:
Access to an online management platform
Insights into charging data and history
Automatic reimbursement service
To take out a subscription, please contact our customer service team.
With a subscription, you receive access to an online dashboard providing real time insights into your charging sessions. Stay up to date with the charging status of your EV, and have a clear overview of your charging history with our smart services subscription.
You can also get easily reimbursed for electricity costs per charge session at home, and activate options to manage guest usage (only possible with the Advanced charge points).
You can end your subscription by going into the settings of the charge point within your account.shellrecharge.com. You can stop your subscription any time. However, in doing so, you will lose access to all our subscription-enabled smart services.
Recurring subscriptions are offered as standard, however, they can be offered prepaid upon request. For recurring subscriptions, it will be billed separately in a monthly invoice that, sent per email around the 12th of the month, for the life of the subscription. In case of prepaid, the amount for the chosen prepaid period will be included in the invoice with the charge point and installation.
For prepaid subscriptions, the subscription will end at the end date of that period, unless you renew the subscription.
A subscription is taken out monthly, for a minimum of a month, starting on the date on which it is activated or accepted in some other way, and then is automatically renewed for an indefinite period until you inform us to cancel.
Our subscription service, linked with your charge point, enables you to use our back office, making your own charge point ‘smart’. The subscription enables insight into the charge sessions on your charge point, allows price configuration for guest use and enables you to be automatically reimbursed for your charge sessions by your employer. More information about the benefits of the subscription can be found here.
The charge point’s RFID reader may not have read your charge card properly. Although the reader is very precise, it can miss-read if the card is tapped too quickly. If your card is not recognised, try moving the charge card across the reader slowly and changing the distance between the card and the reader.
The charge card communicates with a charge point through an RFID-chip. This works in the same way as contactless payments via bank cards. To avoid the wrong card being read, we recommend taking your charge card out of your wallet when you want to start or end a charge session to avoid “card clash”. For a handy alternative to a charge card, feel free to order a key fob instead.
