As Shell Recharge Solutions, we aim to offer a seamless brand experience across our global charging offering. Creating a simpler EV charging offering, we strive to deliver new and improved solutions at a faster rate.
There is no impact on guest charging. The charge points design as well as branding will change to Shell Recharge. Guests can download the Shell Recharge app for charging if needed.
By operating as one brand, with one voice, we aim to deliver a seamless brand experience whatever our customers’ e-mobility needs and regardless of their location. By delivering a shared mission and voice, we will make it simple for customers to interact with us and empower ourselves to scale at speed, taking advantage of the phenomenal growth in our sector.
The product portfolio will be simplified. The EV charging app has been merged with the Shell Recharge app, where functionalities are the same. Other than that and branding updates, there are no immediate changes to products.
The rebranding will not have any impact on NewMotion charge points already out in the field nor will it affect the functionality of our products.
By offering a seamless brand experience across our global charging offering we aim to make EV charging easier and more accessible for everyone. Shell Recharge Solutions will benefit from NewMotion’s expertise in home charging and roaming services and Greenlots’ expertise in charging networks and fleet services. Together with Shell Recharge’s rapid public charging network, this will create a simpler EV charging offering. By combining knowledge across Shell’s EV charging businesses, we will be best placed to deliver new and improved solutions at a faster rate.
No, this will not interrupt charging services.
The rebrand will not require any action from our customers. Our partners will receive a toolkit with additional information on the next steps and materials in advance of the rebrand.
No. NewMotion and Greenlots will continue as separate legal entities.
